#perksofabella with My Faivorite Fruit Tea from Serenitea

What can I say? I just love fruit tea :) I've been fond of tea for so long and it has been part of my daily must have's. About 1 or 2 years ago I was very happy when I saw different Tea shops open offering different flavors of tea. Trying different tea to find what will suit my palette.

Then I discover Serenitea at Greenfield, Mandaluyong.  I love Wintermelon Frost, Winter Snow, Cranberry and specially my all time favorite Serenitea's Wintermelon Sweet its caffeine free but gives me that rejuvenating feeling every time.  I  love how they play around with different combinations that results to a pleasant drinking experience.  Been wanting to buy Taro Halo-halo but always going back to my Wintermelon Sweet when I reach the counter. :).

Love, love, love all their sinkers but am loyal to my crystals and pearls tee hee :)

‎Mikki Galang - INGLOT‬ - Color and Play workshop (Late Post)

It was a fine afternoon last February 21, 2015 @ Inglot Megamall

Congratulations to one of my favorite blogger Mikki Galang! for another successful workshop.
I know this is late but still I want to express how I enjoyed the workshop.  She was spontaneous, her workshop was very interactive you wouldn't be shy to ask questions and clarification in fact she encourage us to ask questions.

So as an eyebrow and eye-shadow lover that I'am, I asked allot of questions about; mixing colors of eye-shadow, how to choose my eye-shadow pallets etc.

She showed 4 techniques in applying eye-shadow from everyday "wala lang.. ganda ko lang!" :) mood
to "kabogera! party tayo hanggang umaga!!!" mood. :)

As if she was waving  a wand with the eye-shadow brush.. a little product here.. blend blend there.. voila!

It's a given that eye-shadows should enhance the eyes, but  am still amaze how chinita eye's (very common to us filipinas..) open up after she puts the eye-shadow and I've noticed that, the models are like getting an instant eye lift.

My  favorite part was when I asked her:

"Pag kasi nag a-apply ako ng eye-shadow there are times na parang droopy ang eyes ko..." 

I believe I asked this question once or twice, with other beauty guru's. 

It's not that they we're not able to help me, they were able to give me tips and techniques to help me achieve certain look that I wanted.

However there are times, specially when I'm on a hurry, I still end up with a droopy eyes...

her answer was simple; it's because of the way I apply the eye-shadow.. it was very basic but it actually make sense to me now.

She told us to apply the eye-shadow inwards rather than outwards cause doing so will pull the eye's down

..that's it, you know how bad habits die hard right? so even though I know how to achieved a certain look.. when am on lazy sally mode or really on a hurry my hand's tend to act automatically because I didn't know that doing so will give me that droopy eyes again.

Now I know! :) 

That's what I love about her workshops it's just like talking to a friend, her answers are simple but you will understand the logic of why and how it is.

I hope to attend more of her workshops.

Review - MAYBELLINE BABY LIPS (Anti-Oxidant Berry) with SPF20 lip balm

 

I don't have different kinds of lip balm like the others, although I know its necessary to have 1 to protect and heal my lips from the weather, the sun, and cracking. Who want's chapped lips?! nope not me.. :D  I just keep 1, and I use it till it runs out. :) before buying another.

While I was picking up my kiddos vitamins from a local drugstore.  I realize I already need a new lip balm, I  usually grab a tinted lip balm (different brand from Maybelline) but I saw Maybelline Babylips (Anti-Oxidant Berry) with SPF20 and since I love walking under the sun I decide to buy this instead.

My experience:  My lips is kinda dry and I felt relieved minutes after I use it, although there's still some flaky part on my lips (I don't like pealing them cause it will usually bleed and it will hurt.... alllotttt!) :(   When I got home I scrub my lips with a fine baking soda and the flakes are gone. Yey!                                                                                                           After I brush my teeth before bed time I lightly brush my lips too with my toothbrush, pat my lips with a paper towel (or hand-towel what ever is available :D ) then I use the lip balm. When I woke up the following morning, my lips feel different it feels softer and moisturized.

   

•    Scent :    Light berry scent which is good cause I love fruity scents.
•    Texture:   Soft, satin sheen
•    When applied : It doesn't  feel heavy on the lips, not tinted

VERDICT : Two thumbs up! :)  I love the product and I will be including this in my daily regimen, my lips feel better with it and I realize chappy lips maybe common but there's always a way to keep your lips moisturized all day and protected with SPF20. I'm a mom that's always on a budget and  P79.00 is a fair price considering the result.
