Memoirs of ME @ Shrine of Our Mother of PERPETUAL HELP Redemptorist, Baclaran

I remember almost every Wednesday when I was young my mother would always wake me up early...
"...gising na mag sisimba na tayo.." (...wake up we'll go to church..")

..so I'll force my way out of dreamland, to be dressed.. (of course that's after having breakfast and taking a bath.. :) )

It was all just a routine for me..
..I remember my dress that time was usually colored baby blue, hues of pink and almost all of it  have ruffles.. :)

After a long bus ride..

We will go down several blocks from the church and start walking along with other devotees..we don't stay for the mass my mother would only utter a silent prayer, maybe about 10-15 mins.then will light a candle..

It doesn't look like this before, it was located on the side of the church.  Now they build a separate place where you can lit candles, just like what's shown below.

after lighting a candle.

It's me time.. yey! I don't know if its a reward for behaving or is it because I come along....
but for sure I'll get a toy..  inexpensive toys sometimes its just a doll made of plastic that keeps on blinking whenever you tilt it :) ...it can be a cooking set made of clay (sometimes tin) simple toys that always bring happiness to my heart.

My mother would ask me if I want to eat at Jollibee, maybe its odd but I don't like Jollibee then.  I would pout my lips going to a certain location....then she will understand, we will walk at one of the eatery nearby... now I realize I didn't even know the name of the place. It's just a simple eatery serving viads, rice, mami etc.

My order doesn't change, not even once.

SIOPAO ASADO yum! (pork steamed buns)

simple pleasures of my childhood.

Then I don't remember when... but I stop going there with my mother, may be its because of school or something.

I have my own road bumps on my teenage years specially when I left home when I was in 4th year high school.  It's just a 1 day adventure though.... but I never thought my feet will bring me then to  Shrine of Our Mother of PERPETUAL HELP Redemptorist.

It was a silent morning, there were just a few people at the church.

That's the first time I saw the church that empty I walk from 1 statue to another.
I walk inside till I saw all the station of the cross art work.
I got to see the altar, at a short distance.  I usually see it from a far.

I sat at the middle of the church the familiar scent of lighted candles, sampaguita flowers and ylang-ylang fill the air.

Memories just came back rushing that time, from the oldest memory I can remember of that place.

I sat there for a very long time I lost track of time. No where to go.

My mind was really empty that time, but there's one thing am sure of... Am hungry.. I haven't eaten for hours. As expected even after years of not going there I walk the same familiar path to go where I usually eat with my mother... and order the same food.

(: ....fast forward... :)

I went home that night.

(: forward more to the future :)

When I got married we live far from my mother.  When  my mother decided to buy a house at Las Pinas we would always meet at  Shrine of Our Mother of PERPETUAL HELP Redemptorist if she want's me to go with her at the church. But we don't eat at the same eatery anymore its no longer there.

That's where we would meet too if she wants me to go with her for shopping, to fix some documents etc.

(: forward a little more to the future :)

May 2013, my mother died and before we bury my her I went to the church to light a candle for her.

August 7, 2014

.....today I visited my brother who lives at Las Pinas.

While on my way home I just realize my feet bringing me again to Shrine of Our Mother of PERPETUAL HELP Redemptorist.

As I walk towards the church my chest feels heavy inside.. I'm fighting the tears that wants to stream down from my eyes.

Maybe I haven't move on yet...
May be am not yet done mourning my mothers death..
or maybe, just maybe.... it's her little girl inside me that misses her sooo much!
for Nanay, Tatay and Simone

For my Nanay, Tatay, Simone, my grandparents and my dear family and friends who already passed away
"Nanay am here today..."

today am lighting a candle....
....today am uttering a silent prayer...
today am creating another memory at  Shrine of Our Mother of PERPETUAL HELP Redemptorist.

Pure and Simple your - choice of pampering

Shimmer eye palette for Smoky Eye effect

  • NIVEA Antiperspirant  Invisible Spray - protects you and your clothes
  • NIVEA In-shower skin conditioner - for a daily dose of moisture
  • Hygeinix  Anti Bacterial Hand Sanitizer
  • Hygeinix   Anti Bacterial Hand Spray : sanitized ; smoothen ;  moisturizes
  • Vitress instant relax - Straighten and smoothen frizzy hair
  • Vitress Heat protecct - just what we need before styling our hair

Keratin Complex Travel Valet Care Kit - for healthier locks

Nivea  Pure Effect Exfoliating Wipes

* * * MY QUICK VIEW OF THE PRODUCTS * * *

I love the Enchanted Eye-shadow (After Midnight) Shimmer eye palette for Smoky Eye effect the  color is nice and the black is very pigmented, but I will not wear this everyday. I will use it if I want a good for dramatic eye effect.

NIVEA Antiperspirant  Invisible Spray nice product specially if your wearing white shirt or dainty light colored dress :)

NIVEA In-shower skin conditioner - as we use regular bath soaps we remove essential moisture from our skin, leaving our skin dry and possibly dull,  this is a good product to make sure the skin gets it's much needed moisture.

Hygeinix product are always handy especially when your outdoors, at the office or at school.

Vitress instant relax - I have been using this product for years now and it sure tames frizzy hair, I also use Vitress Heat protect - just what I need before styling my hair

The Pink Sugar Fine Fragrance Mist (So Fresh) - Smells nice but its not for me  it's more for a sporty gal that wants to smell  fresh even after workout, jogging or any outdoor activities. :)

Celeteque Back Acne Spray  not that I need one now, but I've heard good feedback about this product.

Keratin Complex Travel Valet Care Kit - I use this the day I received the BDJ Box, its not that fragrant... I usually like flower scented shampoo and conditioner.  This one is very lightly scented but amazingly made my hair softer and smoother.

Last, but definitely not the least my new favorite! Nivea  Pure Effect Exfoliating Wipes!  Well, to be honest I will not be curious about this product if I just saw this at stores. That's why am glad BDJ include this at July Box cause I experience the product :)  and amazingly I love it the first time I use it, Its not just a regular wipes. With its bead like pattern on the wipes alone, it feels good to use it at the forehead and sides of the nose it's like a gentle scrub.  The scent is soooo good too! :) No need to rinse after it will leave your skin softer and smoother.

Am still thinking on when to use the FREE relaxing diamond feel.. and still looking for good place to stick my stickers :)

Moroccan Argan Oil (HAIR MASQUE) by: MoNDES Professional - Review

Great day Sweeties! :D I've notice that at every Beauty / Health and wellness website, and every personal care section I go,  I see products containing Moroccan Argan Oil. Makes me wonder... "What is the magic behind this great product?" :D

From shampoo, conditioner , lipstick, lip balm.... etc.. etc.. etc.. need I say more? :D

The price varies from one brand to another.

There's allot of reviews for different products, but am still skeptical to try... :D Cause some of the products are little bit too pricey for me.

While I was shopping materials for my kids project, at SM Department store...  I stumble at this Product..

Moroccan Argan Oil (HAIR MASQUE) by: MoNDES Professional

It's buy one take one for P109.00, since my hair is screaming for a little pampering and since it  fits my budget I bought it. :D.

At the tag price it says WATSONS so may be (if it's not out of stock) you can find it there too.

At the back it says : Moroccan Argan Oil contains Vitamin E and essential Oils that reduce frizz and dryness.

Bullseye description to my over frizzy dry colored treated hair :D

It has a light pleasant scent, soothing and calming.

It contains specks of soft red beads that dissolves when you apply it.

As per instructions:

  • Shampoo
  • Towel Dry
  • Apply 2 - 4 oz directly to hair
  • Leave on for 10 mins. (heat optional)
  • Rinse thoroughly with water
  • Style as usual
I apply it on my damp hair wrap it with towel and used my heating cap for 10 mins., then before I wash it off I let it cool down for another 5 mins. without the towel.

After I rinse I notice that my hair is softer than usual compared to when I only use the regular Shampoo and Conditioner.

I let it dry using hair dryer set on cool air.

Although the result is not life changing :D tee heee.. I'm satisfied with what the product delivered, it promises  to reduce frizz (check) and dryness (check), it even give my hair additional softness and I love the scent it leaves on the hair.

Thanks #MondesProfessional for this product. :D

Ciao for now Sweeties!
